The goal of the Canadian Fellowship is to give a mid-career Canadian publishing professional who may not otherwise have had international experience the chance to meet and spend time with the international fellows in the IV Programme, learn about their lists, and gain a global perspective on the industry.
The offer is open to applicants from across Canada working in editorial, subsidiary rights, or within literary agencies, and who have a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in the industry. Selection will be done by the IV Programme committee with consideration given to the candidate’s experience, reasons for wanting to attend the programme, and specific area(s) of interest.
Interested applicants are asked to submit a completed application form, résumé, letter of recommendation from someone in the industry, and letter from employer agreeing to sponsor any expenses not covered by the IV Programme. The completed application form and supporting documents should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
