Dundurn Press is growing its sales and marketing team and we are looking for an experienced sales professional to help us grow our business, develop new revenue streams for the company, and take ownership of sales results.

Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets on a monthly and annual basis and contributing to company-wide success overall
- Operationalize the company’s sales strategy which includes the following:
- Prospecting and closing corporate sales
- Working with the sales and marketing team on key sales initiatives
- Working with the Chief Publishing Officer on special sales projects
- Increasing ebook sales in Canada and internationally in collaboration with our distribution partners
- Developing other new revenue streams that align with company objectives
- Build positive, professional relationships with vendor accounts and representatives of sales channels in Canada and internationally
- Represent the company effectively with a comprehensive knowledge of our front- and back-list titles and with a clear understanding of the company’s mandate and vision
- Rigorously review sales data provided by the operations team and develop approaches to grow the business
- Act as a representative of the company at author events and industry functions as needed
- Work with the company as a whole to provide support and expertise as required
- Other activities as assigned
Skills and experience:
- Proven track record of success with meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results
- Previous experience in the publishing industry preferred but not required
This is a hybrid role that will include one to two (1-2) days per week as needed at Dundurn Press’s Leslieville office.
This is a full time salaried position with a benefits package available following a successful probationary period. Annual salary starts at $42,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.
