POSITION: Bibliovideo Channel Assistant

ABOUT: Bibliovideo is the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s YouTube channel. It is the destination for young readers, librarians, teachers, parents, authors, illustrators, researchers and others who want to locate and learn more about great Canadian books for young people. 

The Canadian Children’s Book Centre is seeking a part-time Channel Assistant with excellent organization, communication, and digital technology skills, and a passion for Canadian children’s books. 

DUTIES: Provide assistance as needed to the Bibliovideo team under the direction of the Bibliovideo Channel Manager. Tasks include: database updating, cataloguing and curating videos, research, communication with publishers and creators, social media posting, editing video captions, creating video thumbnails, etc.

Graphic design skills (including familiarity with Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite), French-language fluency, and copyediting experience/training are a major plus.

TIME COMMITMENT: 8 to 10 hours per week (part-time contractor)

FEE: $20.00 per hour

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Upon receipt of invoice every 30 days

LOCATION: Virtual. Must be based in Canada and available during business hours in the eastern time zone.
