3. The man in the elevator had a film-noir feel to it, for sure, but gave the impression of the wrong era and seemed misleading in regard to what the stories were really about. The idea of the bleeding character on the cover intrigued me, though, so I took another stab at it (heh, heh) and this time went with pulp-fiction artwork
