There are less than two weeks until Christmas, and didja know that books make great gifts? If you didn’t, the aptly named BooksAreGreatGifts.com will tell you why, with a Youtube video of various authors and celebrities offering their reasons for giving books as presents during the holidays. It’s a strange medley of celebs: Martha Stewart, Elmo, Maya Angelou, Kathie Lee Gifford, Dean Koontz (who has a strange eyebrow-raising thing going on, particularly when he says, “Isn’t that thrilling?”), and Julie Andrews, to name a few.

And, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, never fear — there’s a sidebar with a few reasons why books make great Hanukkah presents. For instance: “After you’ve been eating latkes and sufganiyot for 8 days, all you really want to do is curl up with a good book.”
