Dianna Bonder named IBBY Canada’s Illustrator-in-residence

diannabonder2-300x300The Edmonton Public Library will be hosting artist and children’s book author-illustrator Dianna Bonder as its illustrator-in-residence from Oct. 17 to Nov. 10. The residency is part of the International Board on Books for Young People’s Joanne Fitzgerald Illustrator-in-residence program launched in 2013.

Bonder will take part in illustration workshops and other group art activities‚ public presentations‚ school visits‚ and art portfolio reviews. Her work will also be on public display at the library’s Stanley A. Milner branch.

“I know I’m not alone in being constantly curious, and therefore inspired to create stories through art and illustration,” Bonder says in a release. “I’m thrilled to be joining EPL. It’s going to be a fun few weeks working alongside both accomplished and aspiring artists in Edmonton, helping them bring their dreams to life through their work.”
