High school competition Poetry in Voice announces judges

Griffin Poetry Prize founder Scott Griffin has lined up an impressive group of judges for the inaugural Poetry in Voice, the high-school poetry recitation competition.

On April 12, winners from 12 Ontario high schools will face off at the bilingual contest in front of poets Dennis Lee, Karen Solie, and Élise Turcotte, novelist Karine Glorieux, writer Robert Lalonde, and Soulpepper Theatre’s Diana Leblanc. The event, hosted by Soulpepper founding artistic director Albert Schultz, will be held at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto.

The winner will receive $10,000 and school stipends. Admission is $10, free for students.
