The Green-Eyed Queen of Suicide City by Kevin Marc Fournier (Great Plains Publications) was a winner in the general YA fiction category, and Edge of Time by Susan M. MacDonald (Breakwater Books) won for fantasy/sci-fi YA fiction.

The Gathering Tree by Larry Loyie and Constance Brissenden, illustrated by Heather D. Holmlund (Theytus Books), tied for second place in the health issues category.

Award winners will receive their medals at the Traverse City Children’s Book Festival in Michigan on Nov. 10. A full list of recipients is available here.
