The Atlantic Book Awards Society has announced the shortlists for its 10 annual prizes, which celebrate the best literary works produced in Atlantic Canada.
For the first time, the society is offering an award for scholarly publishing.
The awards will be handed out at a ceremony on May 16, as part of the Atlantic Book Awards and Festival.
