Arc Poetry Magazine has announced the shortlist for the Archibald Lampman Award, an annual prize recognizing the year’s best English-language poetry collection written by an Ottawa-region resident.

Selected by jurors Priscila Uppal, Andris Taskans, and Robin Richardson, the three finalists are:

• Christine McNair, Conflict (BookThug)
• Nina Berkhout, Elseworlds (Seraphim Editions)
• E. Russell Smith, Petroglyph Beach (TheRightEyedDeer Press)

The $1,500 award will be presented Oct. 22 at the Ottawa Book Awards.
