The recipients of this year’s Helen and Stan Vine Canadian Jewish Book Awards have been announced.

The awards, which “celebrate excellence in Canadian writing on Jewish themes and subjects,” were selected by juries comprising writers, academics, editors, and literary experts. Winners will receive their awards May 27 at the Toronto Reference Library’s Bram and Bluma Appel Salon.

The nine category winners are:
