The Mystery Writers of America has nominated Toronto author Kevin Sands for a 2016 Edgar Allan Poe Award in the juvenile category for his debut novel The Blackthorn Key (Aladdin/Simon & Schuster Canada). Sands is the only Canadian on this year’s list.
The annual Edgar Allan Poe Awards recognize the best international writing in mystery fiction, non-fiction, and television in 14 categories.
Awards will be presented at a gala banquet at New York City’s Grand Hyatt Hotel on April 28.
