Four hundred students participated in the Strong Girls, Strong World conference at Toronto’s Central Technical School on Oct. 23. Each student received a copy of Every Day is Malala Day (Second Story Press), written by Plan Canada president and CEO Rosemary McCarney, who was in attendance.

Nobel Peace Prize  winner Malala Yousafzai and Prime Minister Stephen Harper were due to be guests of honour at the event, but were unable to attend due to the tragic attack in Ottawa. Yousafzai will receive copies of the eight foreign  language editions of the book.
