Self-printing trend continues to grow at North American universities

It now costs $11.95 U.S. to publish a 300-page paperback in Portland State University’s bookstore. On Monday, The Columbian reported that the university recently acquired its own print-on-demand machine. In Canada, bookstores and libraries at the University of Waterloo, University of Alberta, McMaster University, McGill University, and The University of Toronto also have Espresso Book Machines. According to ondemandbooks.com, universities in Prince Edward Island and Victoria, B.C., are expected to get machines this year.
