  • Playwright and journalist, Colm Tóibin speaks at Alumni Hall, University of King’s College, Halifax (June 10, 7:30 p.m., free)
  • First Nations storyteller Henry Charles reads, Vancouver Public Library, Mount Pleasant Branch (June 11, 11 a.m., free)
  • Poet Cara Lewis reads, along with musical guests Matthew Hornell and Aley Waterman, The Ship, St.John’s (June 12, 8:30 p.m., $15)
  • Arie G. Berg reading A Reasonable God, McNally Robinson, Saskatoon (June 15, 7:30 p.m., free)
  • As part of the Luminato Festival, Joyce Carol Oates reads from her memoir A Widow’s Story, Glenn Gould Studio, Toronto (June 15, 7 p.m., $20)
  • Luminato also presents Elizabeth May and Miriam Toews reading, along with Leila Aboulela and Maxine Hong Kingston, at the Al Green Theatre, Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre, Toronto (June 16, 7 p.m., free)
