Less than a week after the announcement that Aqua Books in Winnipeg is closing, the Halifax CBC Radio show Information Morning reports that Carousel Bookstore in Bridgewater, N.S., is shutting its doors at the end of this month.

Peter Barss, husband of Myra Barss, owner of the 25-year-old secondhand bookstore, told CBC in an e-mail that “Myra’s store is no longer profitable.” Barss had made attempts to sell the business and her remaining stock to other used-book dealers without success.
