Word on the Street Toronto hires new festival director

Toronto’s Word on the Street announced today that it is welcoming Heather Kanabe as its new festival director.

She takes over from Nicola Dufficy, who has organized the popular book and magazine event for the past three years. Dufficy has been named national festival director of WOTS Canada, as well as director of events at Moorshead & Associates.

In a press release, WOTS Toronto president Christopher Johnson says Kanabe’s “enthusiasm for both The Word on the Street Toronto and the literary world it celebrates makes [her] a valuable addition to our team.”

Kanabe made the move from SALT & PEPPER Events in Dubai, where she was a project manager.
