The Eden Mill Writers’ Festival has announced its 2014 lineup, which includes appearances by Eleanor Catton, David Adams Richards, Anne Michaels, Heather O’Neill, Steven Galloway, Claire Cameron, Thomas King, and Carrie Snyder.
A press release announcing the lineup praises the efforts of artistic director Kim Lang, who, with the support of the “tireless” volunteer board of directors, “worked tremendously hard in programming the EMWF this year.”
The fest, which runs September 11–15 in Eden Mills and nearby Guelph, Ontario, will feature workshops, author readings, and musical performances. Publisher’s Way, the popular “main street” area open on Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m., will include more than 50 exhibitors, from authors and small presses to magazines and trade associations.
On Monday, younger literary types can take advantage of the 100 Story Wood Workshop, which allows teens to garner writing advice from authors. Patricia Storms, George Murray, Jo Ellen Bogart, Richard Scarsbrook, and Emily Pohl-Weary are among the children’s and YA writers scheduled to appear.
