Terry Fallis fans won’t have to wait much longer to get their fix. The Canada Reads winner has signed a two-book deal with McClelland & Stewart’s Douglas Gibson Books imprint, with the first title, No Relation, scheduled for spring 2014.
In an M&S press release, No Relation is described as “vintage Fallis,” taking “readers into a world of identity, celebrity, family tradition, and belonging, begging the question: What’s in a name?”
The CBC Television mini-series adaptation of Fallis’s first novel, Best Laid Plans, is also scheduled for early next year. A stage musical is in the works by Vancouver’s Touchstone Theatre.
