Andy Lamey, the onetime books editor of The National Post, writes about the wonderful world of Dave Eggers’ McSweeney’s in the Post‘s most recent books section. The rah-rah piece is most useful to readers who as yet have never heard of this little magazine slash book publisher. Lamey does disclose that his own work has appeared in McSweeney’s (in fact, in issue #12, which is singled out a couple of times in his piece). Not that that could possibly be relevant, since the Eggers crowd is known for being open to debate and honest critique.
