Conrad Black to appear at Toronto’s Bram & Bluma Appel Salon

Although he’s vowed to maintain a low profile since his return to Canada, Conrad Black is keeping book events on his personal calendar, including a June 26 appearance at the Toronto Reference Library’s Bram & Bluma Appel Salon.

According to the press release, Black will be interviewed onstage by TVOntario’s Allan Gregg, and will discuss the “recent events in his life” and the latest edition of his memoir, A Matter of Principle (McClelland & Stewart).

On Monday, Black appeared as a nominee at the National Business Book Award luncheon, where his book was beat out by Bruce Philp’s Consumer Republic: Using Brands to Get What You Want, Make Corporations Behave, and Maybe Even Save the World (M&S).

Tickets for the Appel Salon event are free and will be available starting at 10 a.m. on May 31.
