Toronto’s Liss Gallery is hosting an exhibition to honour the 25th anniversary of Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! – the last book published before the author’s death in 1991 – from Dec. 4 to 31.
The event will highlight the array of worlds Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Geisel, transported readers to in his art. On display will be the exclusive Oh, the Places You’ll Go! portfolio, which comprises nine artistic works inspired by Geisel’s original concept drawings alongside an introductory letter by his wife, Audrey Geisel, rare photographs of Seuss in his studio, and other original images and excerpts from the book’s early stages.
