Singing the praises of The Pornographer's Poem

It didn’t exactly set Canada on fire back in 1999, but Michael Turner’s novel The Pornographer’s Poem is getting a new lease on life in the U.S. The book was originally published by Doubleday Canada; NYC’s Soft Skull Press has released a new Yankee edition, just in time to clash with the post-Super Bowl climate of sanctimoniousness. The novel gets an appreciative review on the Pop Matters site (thanks to Bookninja.com for flagging the link). In the February issue of Q&Q we published a story on Soft Skull and its fondness for alternative Canadian writers like Turner and Derek McCormack.
