St. Urbain's Horseman rides again

Washington Post book critic Jonathan Yardley periodically champions “notable and/or neglected books from the past,” and his latest selection is none other than Mordecai Richler’s St. Urbain’s Horseman. “[O]ne of the most important, interesting and accomplished ‘Jewish American’ writers of the late 20th century was a Canadian,” writes Yardley, who goes on to praise Horseman at length and also give a shout-out to Michael Posner’s recent oral biography of Richler.
