Some love for The Dodecahedron

Paul Glennon’s short-story collection The Dodecahedron: Or a Frame for Frames has apparently been given some new currency by its Governor General’s Award nomination. Toronto Star columnist Philip Marchand reviewed the book yesterday, more than a year after The Porcupine’s Quill published it. Marchand finds The Dodecahedron (which, by the way, is also a Quillblog favourite) to be “rich in narrative…. The stories [Glennon] tells are important enough, in a way, that he doesn’t have to go metaphor-hunting or to worry characters’ psyches to death.” If Glennon’s book takes the GG fiction prize (which will be announced on Nov. 21), we can likely look forward to more media catch-up.
