Melody Mooner Takes Lessons

by Frank B. Edwards, John Bianchi, illus.

Melody decides she wants to be good at something, so begins taking lessons – skating, skiing, ballet, and more. Unfortunately, she doesn’t like most of them. Finally she finds something she enjoys: tuba lessons!

This goofy story, with its hilarious illustrations, will make kids laugh. It makes the point that people are not good at everything, and that it’s okay to try something else. The story also teaches children the months of the year, as Melody runs the gamut of lessons.
