More Animal Heroes

by Karleen Bradford

This sequel to Animal Heroes tells more amazing stories of heroic animals. Cats and dogs save lives, foil thieves, and rescue other animals in danger. More Animal Heroes features dogs and cats almost exclusively, although there is one story about a polar bear who saves the life of a cat that tumbled into the bear enclosure of a zoo. The chapters are short, the text is easy to read, and the photos help enliven the stories. The level of animal heroism in these stories varies, but Bradford manages to lend a sense of excitement to every story. Useful information about breeds of dogs and other facts about dogs and cats add to the value of this book. More Animal Heroes will be a popular title, and it will give youngsters some good ammunition when they go to mom and dad begging for a new pet.
