On Nov. 12, Toronto’s Koerner Hall was the place to be as the $60,000 Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Non-fiction was presented to Candace Savage for her personal narrative on the history of Saskatchewan’s Western Plains, A Geography of Blood: Unearthing Memory from a Prairie Landscape (Greystone Books).
