Two Canadian titles received awards from the International Association of Culinary Professionals last night at a ceremony in San Francisco.
Naomi Duguid’s cookbook Burma: Rivers of Flavor (Random House Canada) took first place in the Culinary Travel category. Burma (a Q&Q Book of the Year) is also shortlisted for the prestigious James Beard Cookbook Award, which will be announced May 6.
Davin de Kergommeaux’s Canadian Whisky: The Portable Expert (McClelland & Stewart) received the award for best Wine, Beer, or Spirits title. In February, de Kergommeaux’s guide won third prize in the category at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Paris.
