A five-member jury has been announced for the 25th annual Lionel Gelber Prize, the $15,000 prize for best English-language non-fiction book on foreign affairs.
The international jurors, selected by jury chair William Thorsell, are:
- Anne Applebaum, an author, journalist, and columnist for the Washington Post and Slate from Warsaw, Poland
- Gary Bass, an author and professor of politics and international affairs at Princeton University
- Matias Spektor, author and associate professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil
- John Stackhouse, senior fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and the C.D. Howe Institute and former editor-in-chief of The Globe and Mail.
The longlist for the Lionel Gelber Prize will be announced Jan. 26, the shortlist Feb. 9, and the winner Mar. 30.
