The Canadian Library Association has announced the shortlist for its annual Young Adult Book Award for English-language works of YA fiction. The winner will be announced at an awards reception at the National Canadian Library Association conference, to be held in Ottawa this June.

The finalists, selected by a panel of library professionals from across the country, are::

• Susan Juby, The Truth Commission (Razorbill Canada)
• Patti LaBoucane-Benson, The Outside Circle (Groundwood Books)
