The Writers’ Trust of Canada honoured the country’s top authors and the year’s best books at a ceremony for its annual literary awards‚ held at Toronto’s Glenn Gould Studio on Nov. 2. Seven prizes were presented: the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction‚ the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize‚ the Latner Writers’ Trust Poetry Prize‚ the Writers’ Trust Engel/Findley Award‚ the Matt Cohen Award‚ the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People‚ and the Writers’ Trust/McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize.
