Naomi Klein nominated for 2017 National Book Award

Author and environmental activist Naomi Klein is the sole Canadian contender for this year’s National Book Awards, which recognize the best fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and YA titles published in the U.S. annually. Up against nine other authors, Klein is nominated in the non-fiction category for her title No Is Not Enough: Resisting Trump’s Shock Politics and Winning the World We Need, published domestically by Knopf Canada and by Haymarket Books in the U.S.

The title examines the cultural, political, and other forces that made the election of Donald Trump a reality.

Finalists will be announced on Oct. 4, and winners at a livestreamed gala event on Nov. 15.
