- "Our top-selling book this year is also one of our favourites," says Scott Dagostino of Toronto's Glad Day Bookshop. "[Kamal Al-Solaylee] writes amusingly and movingly about his boyhood in Yemen, coming out in Toronto, and the separation from his increasingly fundamentalist family back home. It's both a great read and a vital story."<br />

Vancouver's Little Sister's Book & Art Emporium manager Janine Fuller calls <i>Intolerable</i>, which was nominated for the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize, "an amazing portrait of a life journey."
