Dundurn Press and Canadian International Council partner to launch nonfiction series

Dundurn Press has partnered with the Canadian International Council (CIC) to launch a nonfiction series that will explore geopolitical issues and Canada’s role on the global stage.

The Hon. Henry N.R. Jackman Series on Canada and the World will publish three to four titles a year, with the first title – Pursuing a Public Life: How to Succeed in the Political Arena by the Hon. Sergio Marchi – to be published on Nov. 4.

Dundurn Press will handle editorial for the titles in the series, and the CIC will promote the series with cross-country tours for each author.

The next two expected titles in the series are The Crisis of Liberalism: The Origin and Destiny of Freedom by Michael Bonner (publishing in January 2026) and From Middle Power to Consequential Country by Robert Greenhill (publishing in July 2026).

“It is more vital than ever to engage in discussions surrounding Canada’s international position and to offer individuals and organizations insightful pathways for growth, learning, and the sharing of perspectives,” Dundurn said in a press release. “Through these thought-provoking works, we aim to foster meaningful conversations that can inspire change and help shape a better future for all.”

The CIC is a nonprofit organization that fosters conversation about Canada’s role in international affairs. Jackman served as Ontario’s lieutenant-governor from 1991 to 1997.
