Marc Perez, Bren Simmers, and Chimwemwe Undi have won the 2025 LCP Book Awards.

Three poets have been named the winners of this year’s LCP Book Awards. Each award carries a $2,000 prize.

Marc Perez was named the winner of the Gerald Lampert Award for a debut book of poetry for Dayo, published by Brick Books.

Bren Simmers won the Pat Lowther award for a book of poetry by a woman for The Work, published by Gaspereau Press.

Chimwemwe Undi won the Raymond Souster Award for a book of poetry by a league member for Scientific Marvel, published by House of Anansi Press.

Undi was one of five poets whose books were shortlisted in two categories.

The winning books were selected from three six-book shortlists announced last week for this year’s awards.
