Margaret Atwood and Alias Grace take over the Penguin Shop

Just one day after ruling the Emmy Awards for the television adaptation of her novel The Handmaid’s Tale, Margaret Atwood is taking over Toronto’s Penguin Shop to promote the premiere of another adapted title, Alias Grace.

The Penguin Random House Canada boutique, located in the lobby of the publisher’s office building, features tie-in art for the new edition of the 1996 novel, published by McClelland & Stewart, including branded book spines and a nine-foot-tall wall decal. Special merchandise and signed copies of the book are also available for purchase.

The first episode of the six-part miniseries, directed by Sarah Polley and starring Sarah Gaddon, premiered at the Toronto International Festival, and will air on CBC-TV, starting Sept. 25.
