As more Canadian independent publishers look to expand their presence in the United States market, the ongoing uncertainties around border crossing, coupled with the increased costs of trave and the political decisions impacting their U.S. peers, is giving some Canadian indies pause as they make decisions about whether to attend sales conferences and other book events in the U.S. this year.
