Three finalists have been announced for the 37th National Business Book Award.
The $30,000 prize is awarded to an author for outstanding Canadian business-related writing, research, and originality. This year’s shortlisted titles address the topics of diversity, start-ups, and overcoming adversity.
The 2022 jury includes Peter Mansbridge as chair, Wes Hall, Deirdre McMurdy, Anna Porter, and Pamela Wallin.
The winner will be announced in Toronto at a live event on November 16.
The shortlisted titles are:
- Billion Dollar Start-up: The True Story of How a Couple of 29-Year-Olds Turned $35,000 Into a $1,000,000,000 Cannabis Company by Adam Miron, Sébastien St-Louis, and Julie Beun (ECW Press)
- My Best Mistake: Epic Fails and Silver Linings by Terry O’Reilly (Collins)
- Opening Doors to Diversity in Leadership by Bobby Siu (Rotman–University of Toronto Press)
