The Scotiabank Giller Prize has announced that author and journalist Noah Richler will chair the prize’s 2024 jury.

Joining Richler on the jury are fellow Canadians Kevin Chong, who was a finalist for the 2023 prize, and singer-songwriter Molly Johnson.

The international members on this year’s jury are Ethiopian-American novelist Dinaw Mengestu and Indian author Megha Majumdar.

Submissions are now open for the $100,000 prize.

The longlist for this year’s prize will be announced in St. John’s in September, with the shortlist announcement to follow in October in Toronto. The winner will be announced in Toronto at a gala in November.
