Ten books have been longlisted for the 2026 Sunburst Award for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic.
Jurors A.G. Pasquella, Daniel Perry, and A.C. Wise selected the longlist from more than 100 submitted books.
The longlisted books are:

- Horsefly by Mireille Gagné and Pablo Strauss, trans. (Coach House Books)
- The Drowned Man’s Daughter by C.J. Lavigne (NeWest Press)
- Wild Life by Amanda Leduc (Random House Canada)
- The Hunger We Pass Down by Jen Sookfong Lee (McClelland & Stewart/Penguin Random House Canada)
- The Lady, the Tiger and the Girl Who Loved Death by Helen Marshall (Titan Books)
- The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (Del Rey/Penguin Random House)
- Veal by Mackenzie Nolan (ECW Press)
- Death on the Caldera by Emily Paxman (Titan Books)
- Ley Lines by Tim Welsh (Guernica Editions)
A shortlist will be announced in July, and the winner is to be named in the fall.
