More than 20 organizations have received a total of $100,000 in events grant funding from the Access Copyright Foundation.
The organization released the list of 24 organizations that received the 2024 grants for events last week.
“I am deeply gratified that the foundation has been able to support a diverse array of events planned in Canada throughout the rest of this year,” chair Paul Seesequasis said in a Feb. 6 release. “This is a meaningful contribution towards a healthy ecosystem for Canadian culture.”
The organizations that received events grant funding are:

- Ontario Book Publishers Organization (Stratford, Ont.)

The annual grants are awarded based on a peer review process administered by SK Arts on behalf of the Access Copyright Foundation. The jurors for this round of grants were author Amanda Leduc; Michelle Peters, executive director of the Association of Manitoba Book Publishers; and writer Robin van Eck. The deadline for submitting an application for the grants was Nov. 1, 2024.
