Applications open for BIPOC of Publishing in Canada mentorship program

After a two-year hiatus, applications are open to the BIPOC of Publishing in Canada mentorship program.

The mentorship pairs BIPOC publishing professionals with those aspiring to enter the industry, including students enrolled in publishing programs and junior publishing employees.

“Our hope for the mentorship program is that it will be a meaningful informational and networking tool to help BIPOC mentees get a fuller understanding of the publishing industry; build a support network for those seeking to enter the industry or early in their careers; and target some of the barriers to entry in an industry that is heavily reliant on networking and ‘who you know’,” the organization says.

The program launched in 2020, with 11 mentors and mentees.

Applications close on April 2.
