BookExpo and BookCon go virtual

BookExpo and BookCon are offering free online programming from May 26–31. The conventions for book fans and the publishing industry were cancelled April 14 amid COVID-19 lockdowns.

From May 26–28, BookExpo Online 2020 will present trade-based events including author dinners, book panels, spotlights on new graphic novels and picture books, and curated content for librarians. An additional day of programming focusing on booksellers is scheduled for July.

The fan-based BookExpo Online will take place on May 30 and May 31, featuring discussions with close to 100 authors, including Jenny Han, Judy Blume, Jodi Picoult, and Angie Thomas.

All programming for the New York–based fair is open to the public and presented free of charge.
