Nine books by Canadian authors have been shortlisted for the 2025 High Plains International Book Awards.
The 13 awards recognize regional authors and literary works that examine and reflect life on the high plains, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, and the U.S. states of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas.
The winners will be announced on Oct. 4, at Montana State University in Billings, Montana.
