Canadian comic arts festivals to support creators, share content under signature hashtags

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival, originally scheduled for May 8—10, is recreating its community virtually this weekend using the hashtag #TCAF2020. Organizers are pushing for two “tweetstorms” – at 6 p.m. EST on May 8 and 1 p.m. EST on May 9 – to support and promote the creators that were scheduled to appear at the festival. Organizers expect that searching the hashtag on social media will deliver creators, books, and programming connected to the festival.

TCAF is also participating in the Canada-wide festival hashtag #CanCAF (Canadian Comic Arts Festivals). The hashtag is also being used by the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival, Darthmouth Comic Arts Festival, Montreal Comic Arts Festival, and Quebec BD to promote creators.
