Doubleday Canada has acquired the debut book by Toronto-born actor and comedian Mike Myers. Described as part memoir, part history, and “complete entertainment,” the as yet untitled book takes Canada as its primary subject, as observed by a “true patriot who happens to be an expatriate.” The fully illustrated title, which will be published this fall, also features images from Myers’ personal archive.

The deal was arranged by Penguin Random House Canada president and publisher Kristin Cochrane with Mel Berger at WME Entertainment.
