Three books have been named finalists for the 2022 BMO Winterset Award.
The annual award celebrates excellence in Newfoundland and Labrador writing. The winner will be announced on March 17, and will receive a $12,500 prize, while each of the two other finalists will receive $3,000.
The three finalists were chosen from a six-book longlist.
The finalists are:
- We, Jane, by Aimee Wall (Book*hug Press)
- Nowadays and Lonelier, by Carmella Gray-Cosgrove (Arsenal Pulp Press)
- The Love Olympics, by Claire Wilkshire (Breakwater Books)
The finalists were selected by a jury comprised of Petrina Bromley, Eva Crocker, and Nelson White. A total of 35 books were submitted to the award.
