Montreal writer and editor H Felix Chau Bradley has been named the recipient of the 2025 Max Margles Writing Residency in Ireland.
Chau Bradley is the fourth writer to receive this residency, which is administered by the Quebec Writers’ Federation. They will spend three weeks in October at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Anaghmakerrig, County Monaghan, Ireland.
Chau Bradley is the author of Personal Attention Roleplay (Metonymy Press, 2021), which was a finalist for the Danuta Gleed Literary Award and the Kobo Rakuten Emerging Writer Prize. They plan to spend their time at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre working on a second draft of their first novel.
Chau Bradley was selected from 50 applicants by jurors Jan Carson, Hasan Namir, and the 2024 residency recipient, Aimee Wall.
