The London Book Fair has announced the nominees for its 2020 International Excellence Awards. A record 29 countries are represented.
Canada made the list thanks to House of Anansi Press, which was nominated for “Accessible Books Consortium International Excellence Award: Publisher.”
Laura Brady, Anansi’s director of cross-media*, hosted a session at 2019 ebookcraft – BookNet Canada’s conference dedicated to digital book production – teaching publishers how to update their backlists to EPUB 3 in order to comply with accessibility standards.
Anansi is shortlisted along with Ediciones Godot (Argentina) and Macmillan Learning (U.S.). The winners will be announced March 10.
